Christmas

The season to share the love of Christ

Lets not forget…

This is not about santa, or gifts, or giving.

It is about Jesus, and the hope we have in Him..

Cheers people… Have a blessed Christmas!

I'm Home

I reached home yesterday...
Yep yep, atlast I'm home.
After all the drama..
I'm home
Today I felt it again, "So near yet so far"
The day was super cozy and I just love the rain here.
It sure is good to be home,
A time to recover, a time to heal.
Chrismas is coming soon.
With each passing day,
We all draw near to the closing of 2008
A time to remember the good things and blessings of 2008,
and put away the sad memories of yesterday.

Finally

I'm going home... I'm at the airport with mum.
3.25, the plane should be getting ready to leave.
Looking forward to be home.

This time, it's weird,
Having mixed feelings,
I want to be home,
Yet, something feels very different.

I pray for a good warm homecoming. =D
To all my friends in west M'sia, I'll be seeing you all very soon, so miss me and call often ya! :P

Wedding Plan Tag... Hmmmmm.....

A double tag from John and Wan Sin. Not that I'm going to get married in a few weeks... so this is gonna be a really tough one.

How old are you?

I'm now 22 years old..

Are you single?
Yup, still am... but n/a

In what age do you think you'll get married?
What age ah? Not sure lah.. I think it's more to financial ability? (Weddings are expensive!)

Do you think you'll be marrying the person you are with now?
I'm not in a relationship yet.. but I'm looking forward to a lifelong relationship next.

If not, who do you want to marry?
Can't think of anyone at the moment. So... maybe I stay celebate? :P

Do you want a garden/beach or a traditional wedding?
I'd like something traditional, in a church, at the altar, but if my wife to be has better ideas, I'm all ears!

Your ideal motive?
I guess this should be discussed with my wife to be lah.. I don't have much of a preference I think...

Where do you plan to go on a honeymoon?
I'm thinking of some beach... like maybe Maldives, Bali, Anse Victorin of Seychelles in Africa... and I heard even in France, there are great beaches... =)

How many guests do you think you'll invite?
I'm guessing this question referes to the dinner. Can I not have wedding dinner? :P
Ok.. more importantly, invite family members and close friends and buddies!

Do you want an extravagant wedding or a simple wedding?
Simple is good...

Do you want the traditional vows or something you'd make up on your own?
I guess I want to cook something on my own.. More meaningful, and more straight from the heart. =)

How many layers of cake do you want?
Layers ah? actually so many layers... who eat all of them ya? Lol.. I think 3 tier would be just fine lah.. unless the hotel decides to give me a 10 storey cake! Haha.

Do you prefer having your reception at a hotel or a simple place?
I'd prefer a hotel, someplace really nice where the atmosphere is fun, electric, and the food is deliciously mouth watering everytime my guests remember the wedding, I want them to have something good to remember, and also for myself and my wife to be...

When do you want to get married, morning or evening?
It depends on the location I guess.. If like in a church setting, the morning would be great, but if at the beach, the evening time, when the sun is setting would be best!

You'd rather have your reception outdoors or indoors?
I'd prefer indoors, with A/C and all.. Unless the wedding is in someplace cold ? Haha...

Do you like a grand entrance for your groom?
erm... is this tag for girls ne kah? John ??? Wan Sin???? :P
Hmm.. So ya. I checked John's answer and I agree with him.. :P Just wait at the altar la.. no need magic show to appear.

Name the song/tune you'd like to play at your wedding?
erm... I'm thinking "You and Me" by Lifehouse.

Are you a morning person or a night person?
I'm pretty much nocturnal.

Do you want a solemn ceremony or a light one?
Don't know for sure.. Something in the middle? Lol... how solemn can a wedding get wor.. it's supposed to be happy celebration right?

Describe your ideal husband/wife?
Ok. here are some pointers, but not the full list or in any particular order except for the first one.
1. She must love God more than she will ever love me.
2. Loves food
3. Loves music
4. Has a huge heart for Jesus!

Do you prefer fine dining or just the normal spoon & fork/knife?
Fine dining for special ocassions ler.. But other than that, use fingers also can lah!

Champagne or red wine?
Champagne of course! (Someone sponsor me?? :P)

Honeymoon right after the wedding or days after the wedding?
After the ceremony, dinner and all is over lah..

Money or household items?
I think I'm going to put up a list of things I need next time, and ppl can just buy me things that I need and if don't want to, money would do just as wonderful. =D

Who will pay for the bills?
I'll tell her.. lets share? But when I earn more than enough, I'll pay for it all lah.. hehe.. makes sense rite!

Are you ready for married life?
As of this moment, not yet lah.. First of all, financially not stable yet, and no job summore.. How lah.. haha..

Do you think you will still be a virgin until you get married?
YES!

Will you always be true to your wife/husband?
YES!

How many kids would you like to have?
2 would be enough =D But if God sends more, I'm sure we will welcome it with arms wide open. =D

A new house for a newly wed or an old one?
I should think new house lah.. But if old also.. it's okay.. as long as we have a place of shelter to make and call home.

What kind of cuisine would you like for your wedding?
Chinese 10 course meal (chinese tea and dessert is not a dish ok... )

Will you record your honeymoon in a CD or DVD?
Will need handycam leh.. Record where we went and all. It'd be cool!

Whose wedding plans would you like to know next?
1. Diane Teng
2. Audrey Kho
3. Tan Shea Teng
4. Jesse Yeo
5. Su Ee
6. Wei Zhu

Banana Leaf Rice

I was just at this banana leaf rice place in Bangsar. I can't remember the name of the shop, but this is the first time in YEARS I see everyone in a banana leaf rice shop eating with fork and spoon. It's KL lah I guess. :p and yes.. the food is not as nice as when eaten with ye fingers! Hahaha! So.. I've been "Indianized" thanks to John, Vinod, Michelle, and Kana... Hmmmm....

Super Delicious Nasi Lemak!!

Later that evening, John brought me to one of the best nasi lemak you can think of tasting lah... It's called restoran mana lagi.. This restaurant sells ONLY nasi lemak! The first time I've ever been to such a place... At first, I thought that it would just be some over rated nasi lemak.. coz.. how good can nasi lemak be? I stand corrected... I dun think the pictures here can describe the taste, so it's best if you just hop on Air Asia, get to Johor, and ask the taxi driver to bring you to "Restoran Mana Lagi".

Sick....

I still have 2 blog posts sitting in Windows Live Writer.. waiting to be posted.. cause of some weird problem it's encountering, saying that it has problem posting to my blogpost.. So.. keep waiting for that...

Just a little update what has been happening... I was sick yesterday, really sick! Some terrible case of food poisoning, and I was basically vomitting and having diarrhea... =(
Anyhow, praise God that I'm all better now, and I can even sit here and blog! :P

oh.. I'm looking forward to go home sometime next week. So glad that at last, I can go back home to some Kuching laksa and "kolo mee"~!

Johor, sweet....

So hor.. I just continue somewhere lah...

So.. that night we went to John's church, and after service, John's dad brought us to go eat lah, at first, the plan is to go eat wild boar and "biawak" lah.. but then tak jadi, so we went to another place lah...

Den after dinner, we went back to ZZzz lah.. Initial plan was to go play DOTA at JB's biggest cyber cafe, but we didn't go lah.. Both of us felt too tired to do anything much, so we went back to sleep.

The next day, we went to watch Quarantine at City Square. This place is so south, and so near to Singapore that the streets have a little feel of Singapore, and there are many many many Singaporeans in this part of Johor. At City Square, I tried this :

To the SOUTH !!

On the 26th Dec, we packed everything nicely into John's Wira, and we started the drive to Bukit Jalil, KL. Before reaching Bukit Jalil, we stopped for a little bit of "early breakfast" or "late supper" (whatever is ur preference lah) at MURNI (some sort of "high class" mamak; they practically have every kind of food you can think of, from clay pot lou shi fan, Roti Hawaii, Spaghetti Cabonara)

Then, after putting my things into Abby's place, we drove to Banting. When we reached there, it was about 7 am I think so we all went to sleep till about 2 pm lah... Then we went to a keropok heaven.. I think u can read about this in John's blog lah... And Xiao Qi, being so nice, "chia" all of us to a wonderful mountain of keropok. So, during lunch, we were trying to convince sweet Melissa to come with us to JB, and even called her mum to ask if she could come, but then leh, we failed lah... again, it's in John's blog. SO...

John and I sent Melissa to Subang, and then we went to Jamie's place, parked the car, put things in Jamie's room, and took the train to Pudu Raya. Had some super expensive Nga Pou Kai Fan, BUT it was nice lah! :P

SO hor we took the SS INTERNATIONAL bus to JB after that loh...  The bus ride hor, like super long lah.. but talked to John a lot in the bus, and got to know a side of him I never knew. A very good side lah ah. not bad lah.. He's a very good person, loves Jesus... AND so coming back to the story... we reached John's home around.... (kenot rem time) so anyways, met John's mum, and she's a really super cool mum lah! That's all I can describe her. LoL!

Then we slept lah.... till very late the next day... that would be 28th Dec de... ok lah.. that's all i gonna tell for now.. Pictures and more stories in next post! so stay tuned!

Flight Landed

Ate Madagascar style;
Sang, Rapped and Screamed,
To the hearts content and more.
Tunes from the east and west
It didn't matter.

Capturing MEMORIES
Treasuring the good times.
Visited the sweet lane in Ipoh
This would be the last time
We hang out together

A little celebratory wine
A bunch of buddies to share with
A small celebration it might have been
A celebration it still is

A prayer of thanks to God
For His everlasting love and faithfulness
And a toast to us, for completing it.

A long journey it has been,
But somehow we made it through
To all my friends, especially those in
ICT and BIS;
CONGRATULATIONS!

Eating Habbits

I've been having supper quite a bit lately, and this morning, when i got up earlier than usual for breakfast, I felt a little guilty and FAT. For some weird reason lah. but i got up anyways, and went. =)

Today, I went with Vinod, Kana and Melissa to the Tronoh market to have brekkie, and I had some really delicious "pan mee". Sort of flat shaped (i think hand made) noodles. I think i felt guilty coz i ate before I slept, and I got up to go eat, then after that coz still not enough sleep, I slept again till lunch time. So to get my system back in order, I'm gonna skip lunch. =D

Tagged 101?

Been quite some time since I was last tagged.. this is from John.. and here goes

Part II
1. Each player of this game starts off with 10 weird things/habits/little known facts about yourself.

2. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 10 weird things/habits/little known facts as well as state the rules clearly.

3. At the end, you need to choose 10 people to be tagged and list their names.

4. No tags back!

so... here goes...

  1. I recently realized I could sleep the whole day
  2. I can't remember what day it is
  3. I can't remember what day something happened
  4. I have a particular liking for Penang, I just love it there
  5. i LOVE eggs
  6. I can sit in front of the computer the whole day and play WoW (last semester, not doing anymore. :P)
  7. I sleep a lot (refer to no1)
  8. I used to like a lot of food, like really really like them, but now I think my list is getting shorter and shorter...
  9. I like to smell a lot of things... just curious what everything smells like..
  10. I love to sweat, but i hate the sun, so I love saunas heaps!
Wow.. so hard to think of 10 weird stuff about myself.. so that's it..

I'm gonna tag....

Audrey!!

Darling is back~

This week has been a strange week for me. I slept, most of it, and I can't remember much of it. I could remember the porridge tho... - The headaches that i had for the last few days have made me feel like time is indeed passing rather quickly. Swallowed panadol, and closed my eyes.. The next thing I know it's evening.

Today I got my darling back. I have yet to put her memory (HDD) back in there but I woke her up a little bit, just to make sure that everything was working fine. The technician told me they changed quite a number of things, which include the motherboard, GPU, and LCD screen. Amazingly, some of the dust that went with her, came back with her. Hmm... but anyhow, it all looks very wonderfully new~! Thanks to mum and dad for paying for the repairs. I really really like it heaps.. so I'm gonna use it for a few more years i think. =)

* * *

This week has been rather odd at times because sometimes, i think i'm talking to someone, but then i realize, it's actually someone else on the other side. Hmmmm... Maybe i should sue the internet for not being clear enough with me who I am talking to.. Haha..

Alright, I guess I should get back to my preparation for my oral presentation tomorrow.

In a Flash

September came and went like a breeze, now, it's October. I didn't even realize it's another month already. Pre-EDX is just one day away... It will hit me like a train traveling at top speed. The short break had been short - too short. I want more, I feel like I need more. Preparing the software, preparing the posters, finals are coming soon too. What should I do?

The struggle is ongoing, I can only make it with Christ.

Awesome one

I was at the Passion world tour in KL a few months back, and Pastor Louie said something about a video titled Indescribable.

Last week, I had the opportunity to watch it.

I was awestruck.

Speechless, amazed and in awe.

Indescribable, uncontainable
You placed the stars in the sky and you know them by name
You are amazing God

All powerful, untamable
Awestruck we fall to our knees and we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God

Incomparable, unchangeable
You see the depths of my heart, Yet you love me the same
You are amazing God
~Indescribable by Chris Tomlin~

Many Wishes

I wished many things today. Must be cause I didn't have much to do today...

I wish that I could finish my FYP instantly. I wished that I could go to bed earlier, and start my days earlier. I wished that I knew God's heart deeply. I wish that I could be home. I wished that phone calls were not so expensive. I wished that it's the end of the year, and she's here with me. I wished that I didn't spend my day just sleeping. I wished that I could find the mail she sent. I wished that I could feel Father walking with me. Haih... Going to do something about it..

+1

I had a wonderful day yesterday. The "wonderfulness" started around midnight of Sept 11th. I want to thank everyone who made it extra fun and special for me.

  • An angel called from sooo far away and with her angels sang over the phone!
  • 3 hair styling professionals came into my room and shampooed my hair for me.
  • Mum and dad and sis for calling
  • Had a good chat with a good friend till the sun came up
  • Derrick for insisted on having a birthday dinner
  • Jack who helped organize the whole thing
  • Jack, Elvina, Melvin, Soonie, Debbie, Melvin, Derrick, Jesse, Kevin, Jackie, Jia Ann and Pkiat who all came together to celebrate with me
  • Everyone who called; Charles, Chung....
  • Everone who texted their wishes...
  • Everyone who wished me personally...
Thank everyone who remembered my birthday!! This birthday has been a wonderful one, and it lacked nothing except for a birthday cake, but I don't really fancy it... so it doesn't matter.. Really glad to have friends who made yesterday special.

Thank you all, thank God for surrounding me with such wonderful friends and families, and I appreciate everything that happened yesterday.

Looking Ahead

I'm looking forward to a few things at the end of the year..

1. Finishing my degree studies in UTP
2. Completion of my FYP
3. Banana cake
4. Delicious food
5. A wonderful christmas

blink

There, you missed it!

Time passes so quickly now that I believe we should not even blink if we want to witness everything. Every second that passes cannot be repeated. Cherish every moment that brings a smile to your face, for it's those moments that count.

* * *
In a blink, a year has passed,
The past still haunting,
Even this season is about to pass by.
Each day I have with you, I will cherish.

In a blink, the weather changes,
A smile turns upside down.
The tears that were shed should have dried up,
It is time to turn things around.

In a blink, the last chapter is drawn,
The readers ask if there will be a second book.
Even if the story is about to end,
The last chapter will be the best.

In a blink, I will fade away,
and all these things will matter no more.
Like a flower quickly fading, here today gone tomorrow.
So watch while the blossoms still bloom.

Curse da rain

It rained suddenly, and I didn't close my window, so my laptop got wet, reali wet I think, by the time I reached my room, it was already dry, but my laptop seem to hold on just enough to say goodbye to me, before i turn it off, and forever, it is off. Still duno what spoilt, and I'm gonna call Dell ASAP to get it fixed.

Praise God that my HDD was still working, so means all data is still safe in my HDD.

Anyways, I'm mourning for my lappie. So sad.. so very sad. Feel like my heart is torn, and scarred forever.

T_____T

I hate rusing, and sudden rains.. Super bad combination... :P

Fast Lane

I've been eating instant noodles for the past few meals. Nothing more than that, and all other instant kind of food. I should get out and have something fresh today!

PASSION - Kuala Lumpur

**sATurday Night**

The night before, I didn't sleep, I went to bed at about 4 am in the morning after putting my laundry up to dry. Set 4 alarm times, then took a short moment and prayed that God will wake me up to get ready to leave for the drive down to KL.

**sUNday Morning**

Got up at 8.50, then rushed to get ready to leave UTP. The drive was kinda long lah... John, Melissa and myself kinda got nothing much to talk about after brunch and we started talking about having costume parties in church! Anyways, we made it to KL at around lunch time.

We spent the afternoon, walking around Sunway Pyramid, shopping (window shopping lah), eating, and *pause* Show la pictures of lunch first...

SO... after lunch, we walked around summore, looked for Jack, went to the toilet, and I tried to meet up with the Bethany gang before the conference was a total failure lah. Didn't know where they were, and somehow we were just going different directions

At around 4 pm, people were already lining up waiting to get into the conference hall. By 5 pm, I was there with the Bethany "crowd". So glad to see all of them again. Just had a few minutes of catching up and after taking a few photos and more waiting and sweating, we were running (not running la.. just pushed everyone in front through the gate faster) with the crowd into the conference hall.

Jack and Mark

The place was buzzing with excitement, and I was excited too, but I didn't know about what. I wanted to know what God is going to do in the conference that night. Will it be just another concert, another conference?

After Chris Tomlin lead the first few songs, Louie came up to introduce us to Passion and what they are all about. When he got us to pray in groups of three, I could feel the presence of God so strong in that place, and I knew that God wanted to do something there, that God is going to do something in that conference that night.

The sermon that night was short and it was about grace, what we could not do, God did for us. And also a little part about why we are crazy sometimes, and I mean CRAZY! It really changed my perception about shouting, jumping and praising God in a way that we express ourselves to the ultimate, because God showed us His ULTIMATE love.

The message of God's grace was one that I have heard much, one that I have been very careful around, and last night, I realized the grace for me was as great as the grace He showed to other people. I have always felt inferior, and wanted more attention from God, like I wanted God to highlight me or something like that, but last night I realized that God has already loved me so much, I am already highlighted. I am already in His priority list, just as everyone else is. We are all important, and I feel that until we realize that for ourselves, we will never understand it no matter how many times people tell us.

Ashley's story was one that touched the core of my heart. Sometimes, I feel myself as such a "screw up" and doubt if God can forgive someone like me, or can accept someone like me, or change someone like me? The answer is YES He can, YES He can, YES He can! Ashley's life in Christ might be short in our eyes, but it accounted for much, it made Jesus known, she lived a life that made Jesus famous.

That was our prayer that night, that we would live a life that shines the name of Jesus, that we live a life worthy of Christ.

Isaiah 26:8 -

Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts.

Yes God, for Your name and renown are the desires of my heart.

In a sentence, I would say the conference was awesome, life changing, heart changing, a reminder of why I go to church every Sunday, why I want to live my life as a Christian.

After the messages, we had more music, praising, and worshipping and praying for the city. God is awesome!

I miss Kuching not just because of home, the food, or the weather not even the lovely atmosphere in Kuching. But it is the fellowship, the friends that I have back home.

You guys are always real, so godly, and genuine. Missing all of you already.

Getaway

I had a chance to be away from everything for a short few days during my trip back home. 7 of us, took a weekend off at the Bako National Park, and we sure did have a blast of a time. Weird, we never took a group photo together outside the boat, but anyways, I just want to share some photos and some of the wonderful time and things I had the chance to experience during the few days there.
