Update Patch v1.0

It’s been so long since i last posted! I didn’t even have the patience to sit down at my pc and do things on it like I used to when I was in UTP. Life is so much different, and yeah… I spend so little time doing the things that I used to do when I was in UTP.

Missing all of my friends, and all the late night/ early morning mamak, gaming, drinking, food hunting session! Ah… Kuching, Kuching, I longed to be here, but suddenly, I feel that I have nothing much to do here…

Johor, sweet....

So hor.. I just continue somewhere lah...

So.. that night we went to John's church, and after service, John's dad brought us to go eat lah, at first, the plan is to go eat wild boar and "biawak" lah.. but then tak jadi, so we went to another place lah...

Den after dinner, we went back to ZZzz lah.. Initial plan was to go play DOTA at JB's biggest cyber cafe, but we didn't go lah.. Both of us felt too tired to do anything much, so we went back to sleep.

The next day, we went to watch Quarantine at City Square. This place is so south, and so near to Singapore that the streets have a little feel of Singapore, and there are many many many Singaporeans in this part of Johor. At City Square, I tried this :

To the SOUTH !!

On the 26th Dec, we packed everything nicely into John's Wira, and we started the drive to Bukit Jalil, KL. Before reaching Bukit Jalil, we stopped for a little bit of "early breakfast" or "late supper" (whatever is ur preference lah) at MURNI (some sort of "high class" mamak; they practically have every kind of food you can think of, from clay pot lou shi fan, Roti Hawaii, Spaghetti Cabonara)

Then, after putting my things into Abby's place, we drove to Banting. When we reached there, it was about 7 am I think so we all went to sleep till about 2 pm lah... Then we went to a keropok heaven.. I think u can read about this in John's blog lah... And Xiao Qi, being so nice, "chia" all of us to a wonderful mountain of keropok. So, during lunch, we were trying to convince sweet Melissa to come with us to JB, and even called her mum to ask if she could come, but then leh, we failed lah... again, it's in John's blog. SO...

John and I sent Melissa to Subang, and then we went to Jamie's place, parked the car, put things in Jamie's room, and took the train to Pudu Raya. Had some super expensive Nga Pou Kai Fan, BUT it was nice lah! :P

SO hor we took the SS INTERNATIONAL bus to JB after that loh...  The bus ride hor, like super long lah.. but talked to John a lot in the bus, and got to know a side of him I never knew. A very good side lah ah. not bad lah.. He's a very good person, loves Jesus... AND so coming back to the story... we reached John's home around.... (kenot rem time) so anyways, met John's mum, and she's a really super cool mum lah! That's all I can describe her. LoL!

Then we slept lah.... till very late the next day... that would be 28th Dec de... ok lah.. that's all i gonna tell for now.. Pictures and more stories in next post! so stay tuned!

Kuching

I miss Kuching not just because of home, the food, or the weather not even the lovely atmosphere in Kuching. But it is the fellowship, the friends that I have back home.

You guys are always real, so godly, and genuine. Missing all of you already.

*wanted to put a picture, but I remembered.. I've lost ALL my pictures.. all I have are the Bako trip.. :(

It's girls night out and I sort of invited myself to it. Anyway, it was great fun, and actually, girls night out ain't as bad as I used to think. Well, at least this bunch didn't make us feel awkward. We enjoyed it pretty much.

Just another day?

Yesterday night, Eilyn was saying that 2008 is just another year, just another day... and we'd be back to work the day after new year's day... Yah.. I guess it's true, but I also feel that it is important to see the new year as a mile stone, something to look forward to, something new!

Well, I'm about to leave Penang, and of course, I can't resist it when Felix invited me to join them at Tao 2 nights ago. I ate, and I ate, and I ate a lot of fishes! The flu didn't stop me from eating my fill of good fish! Hehehe..

Last but not least, we had a toast to the new year... with something from the down under...

Cheers! To a wonderful new year, and may this year be a year filled with God's favor, and just like Pastor said in his sms. "May we flavor the earth as salt of the earth and shine our light into the world as the light of the world"

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

The Interval

If you have realized, I've just published a few posts today, well, they are actually posts written during my time at home. I was not able to post them because of the dial-up that my mum is still using.

Well, the flight to KL seemed to really suck. I just didn't want to leave home so soon. Sitting here, I look forward to my next break, on February.

The six days seem to fly by, but I must say, they are well spent. Catching up with so many people, meeting up and just connect with one another for even a moment, felt really great for me. I guess the best time was when a few of us went to have dinner at Batu Lintang.

Joseph: Harder lah! No feel wan...

That's most of what I did in Kuching. Dinner, breakfast, lunch, and dinner again.. The cycle seems to never end. It certainly great to be home! Looking forward to CNY dee.. Hehe.. A good 6 days of no worries, and just great fellowship.

Want to thank my parents for buying me the tickets to go home this time. Really appreciate it!

Cheryl

She's a great friend

A wonderful prayer partner

A teacher she will be,

A good teacher, I know she is.

She has a heart for the lost

A desire to see them saved

Wherever she goes, hearts are touched

Lives are changed.

She might look harmless

BUT she packs a PUNCH!

Where she set her feet on

She makes an impact, no one can deny.

Keep on shining for Jesus wherever you will be che'

The Lord is your strength and your shield!

Satisfied

Today, after work, we went home, rested a while, and I eventually slept till around 7 pm. When I got up, Joel was already getting ready to go out for dinner... Tonight is Bak Kut Teh night. Yep, Bak Kut Teh in Penang, not Klang this time. Was really hungry by the time we got there, I think it must be nearly 8 pm we got seated, all 6 of us, except 1 didn't have the Bak Kut Teh cause he finds it "difficult to eat". For my housemates who might have come across this webpage, you will know who lah. =D The place is a corner house, opposite Tesco Extra on Penang Island. I'm sure it's pretty easy to find, somewhere near Pekaka area I guess...

Anyways.. the meal was really really good. I guess partly because I was really hungry when we started eating. Well, I'd say it's not as super good as the one in Klang but by far, this is really nice Bak Kut Teh. The soup was not too salty, the taste was full, and it just tasted so right.

Should be going to bed already.. Bye!
