PASSION - Kuala Lumpur

**sATurday Night**

The night before, I didn't sleep, I went to bed at about 4 am in the morning after putting my laundry up to dry. Set 4 alarm times, then took a short moment and prayed that God will wake me up to get ready to leave for the drive down to KL.

**sUNday Morning**

Got up at 8.50, then rushed to get ready to leave UTP. The drive was kinda long lah... John, Melissa and myself kinda got nothing much to talk about after brunch and we started talking about having costume parties in church! Anyways, we made it to KL at around lunch time.

We spent the afternoon, walking around Sunway Pyramid, shopping (window shopping lah), eating, and *pause* Show la pictures of lunch first...

SO... after lunch, we walked around summore, looked for Jack, went to the toilet, and I tried to meet up with the Bethany gang before the conference was a total failure lah. Didn't know where they were, and somehow we were just going different directions

At around 4 pm, people were already lining up waiting to get into the conference hall. By 5 pm, I was there with the Bethany "crowd". So glad to see all of them again. Just had a few minutes of catching up and after taking a few photos and more waiting and sweating, we were running (not running la.. just pushed everyone in front through the gate faster) with the crowd into the conference hall.

Jack and Mark

The place was buzzing with excitement, and I was excited too, but I didn't know about what. I wanted to know what God is going to do in the conference that night. Will it be just another concert, another conference?

After Chris Tomlin lead the first few songs, Louie came up to introduce us to Passion and what they are all about. When he got us to pray in groups of three, I could feel the presence of God so strong in that place, and I knew that God wanted to do something there, that God is going to do something in that conference that night.

The sermon that night was short and it was about grace, what we could not do, God did for us. And also a little part about why we are crazy sometimes, and I mean CRAZY! It really changed my perception about shouting, jumping and praising God in a way that we express ourselves to the ultimate, because God showed us His ULTIMATE love.

The message of God's grace was one that I have heard much, one that I have been very careful around, and last night, I realized the grace for me was as great as the grace He showed to other people. I have always felt inferior, and wanted more attention from God, like I wanted God to highlight me or something like that, but last night I realized that God has already loved me so much, I am already highlighted. I am already in His priority list, just as everyone else is. We are all important, and I feel that until we realize that for ourselves, we will never understand it no matter how many times people tell us.

Ashley's story was one that touched the core of my heart. Sometimes, I feel myself as such a "screw up" and doubt if God can forgive someone like me, or can accept someone like me, or change someone like me? The answer is YES He can, YES He can, YES He can! Ashley's life in Christ might be short in our eyes, but it accounted for much, it made Jesus known, she lived a life that made Jesus famous.

That was our prayer that night, that we would live a life that shines the name of Jesus, that we live a life worthy of Christ.

Isaiah 26:8 -

Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts.

Yes God, for Your name and renown are the desires of my heart.

In a sentence, I would say the conference was awesome, life changing, heart changing, a reminder of why I go to church every Sunday, why I want to live my life as a Christian.

After the messages, we had more music, praising, and worshipping and praying for the city. God is awesome!

Getaway

I had a chance to be away from everything for a short few days during my trip back home. 7 of us, took a weekend off at the Bako National Park, and we sure did have a blast of a time. Weird, we never took a group photo together outside the boat, but anyways, I just want to share some photos and some of the wonderful time and things I had the chance to experience during the few days there.

Too Much

FaceBook and Friendster? It's just to much to keep up with. :p

WHY do I even have both? Face book has just too much applications.. I won't be going there for a long while.

Anyways.. this is the pizza I had somewhere in Penang at a place called Golden Crab restaurant.

Pizza

Just add RM 2 for extra cheese, and this is what you get. SUPERB pizza. YUM~

After the late dinner, we went for HITMAN at GSC Gurney.

If you've played the game, you would like this movie very much, but if you have not, maybe it's time you get to know who this Agent 47 is.

Ignore

Hugo (web)I just want to ignore the fact that tomorrow is Monday... wait a minute... it's Monday already on my calendar, craps... One more week of the office... Sometimes, I just wish like in the movie 'Click' I could just fast forward this part of my life. I just want to get it over, done with.

The weekdays seem to be super long while the weekends seem to just pass by in a blink of an eye. Well, looking at the bright side, I do have next weekend to look forward to, and church on Sunday.

Alrite, I'm all out of ideas as to what to write, but I just want to update my blog, and just put in a little record of what I did this week. Have a good week everyone.

Sidetracking

I have been running away from Your discipline.
While at the same time, I ask that You teach me to be more like You.

I want the easy way to You,
But no one ever said the road that leads to eternal life is easy.

I want to be brave and stay where You want me to stay,
Sit where you want me to sit, and listen to You.

I thank you for the weekend of encouragement,
of speaking to me, reminding me of the ultimate goal.

I have faith to believe You have heard my prayers,
The desires of my heart are all known to You.

I have nothing to hide from You,
Nor can I hide anything from You.

A season of testing, is what I must pass to grow,
A season of trusting, is what I must learn now.
A season of believing, is what I have in You,
A season of discipline, is how I become stronger.

I thank you Abba Father,
I love you Abba Father.

Long Weekend

AH... alas! It's Friday, and this weekend is going to be a long one. =)

Well, this week has been a good, busy and fulfilling week I should count. There has been much progress at work with the program that I am working on. On Monday, as I was trying out again like how I always did, this time, it worked!

Had pretty good food also this week, too bad I'm not on holidays, so I didn't take my camera with me ler. Today, I went for Kenny Rogers and tried the new roasted chicken with "spicy" sauce. It turned out to be very good, met my expectations. The best part is that, after we stepped out of the place, my friend told me that they just charged us for 1 plate of the dish! SO all in all, we paid RM30 only! Haha..

Looking forward to Sunday! After church, 5 of us; Darren, Eilyn, Fellicia, Su Ee and myself, we'll be heading to SP to meet uncle Kevin! Really looking forward to see all of them. Hope that the traveling will not be too tiring though.

K.L.A.N.G

Took the 6 pm bus from Penang straight after work. Like usual, I got stuck on the Penang bridge for about 40 minutes, (30 minutes before that turn around Penang, trying to get to another route to reach the bridge... =.=") Anyways.. I reached KL around 11.10 and I took the taxi to Vista Komanwell. Itching to play PS2, I got so engrossed in the game that I slept at 5 am, and then roughly 5 hours later, my sister called. " Wei! Want to go breakfast or not. We're going out for breakfast liao." My heart says go, but my body tell me "sleep..." Anyways, I got up and went with them cause so long never see them ady, so catch up with them a little ler.

By lunch time, I went to meet Cheryl at Central, (1 hr late. :p) and then got my own, first 'Touch N Go' card! Wheee~~~ so happy now that I don't have to queue to buy tickets for trains anymore. Just 'Touch, and Go'!

At the station, met 4 of Cheryl's juniors and apparently, one of them, Shirley *hope I got the spelling correct* is Elvina, Felix and Thana's cell group member! KL is not that 'BIG' after all. :p

So, we reached Klang at around 3.40 I think, and we went straight to HCA for the concert. Juwita was great, and her team was really great too. The music was great, so was the presence of God in the place. Missed the time of worship where we really gave our all in our praise to God and just danced, and jumped for Him! Throughout the concert, Juwita shared quite a bit about herself, like.... I learnt that she actually grew up in Klang between the age of 15 - 20.

The weekend was really great, and being able to see the HCA youths again, it was really great. All of us have grown so much~ It was really great to be able to go back there and meet up with everyone in Klang. Wish I can go again soon.

Thanks to Uncle Michael and Aunty Madeline for being so hospitable, and allowing me to stay at their home.

God is good all the time. And all the time, God is good!

Cheers~

Another

Tomorrow is October...

Autumn in the north, Spring in the South..

Time passes by unnoticed. It seemed like yesterday, when I was cheering with Danny after the wedding dinner. I actually miss them, Haven't seen them for two weeks.

The clock seems to be ticking too fast for some reason. Not enough hours in the clock, but I still have yet to appreciate every tick of the clock. The sense of urgency is not there. I know there are things I need to do, but I keep telling myself, wait wait wait. Not yet. I don't understand why. Are there 2 of me?

I need motivation in my work, I need something new, some breakthrough! Don't have the motivation to go to the office anymore. Wish that I could do more things that just sit at my desk, and write codes while I wait for 5 pm. =(

*   *   *   *

This coming weekend, I'm looking forward to it.

I have a dream. I even had goals for that dream, but I have lost faith in that dream. It seems like just a dream that will never be in the end.

*   *   *   *

Well, I'm looking forward to the movie that is going to be screened next week; Resident Evil: Extinction. I've been to GSC trice this week to ask about booking the movie tickets for this coming week. Well, I haven't booked yet, cause I can only book 2 days in advance. Which kind of sucked.

Guess I can blog more tomorrow in the office. :p

Going Solo

This is one of the rare weekends that I stay in Penang. Just like last week. Hehe.. I guess next week, this time, I'd be in HCA Klang~ Whee~~ Don't know what I should expect there, and I sometimes wonder if it's going to be a "kekok" moment in my life or not.. Haven't been there for so so so long already..

Anyways, today I didn't just sit at home and do nothing. Instead, I went shopping in the evening. =D

This is one of the few times that I go to the shopping mall alone actually. I'm not so used to walking around in a crowded place alone. Somehow I just feel a little awkward. Guess the weeks of having to eat lunch alone in the office has gotten me used to be without a company.

It sure is different, walking around alone, and "shopping" alone. Haha... One thing is for sure, it still can be great going out alone. The only thing is that when you stop for a drink, you have no one to talk to.. But, I'm glad I could sms my sister and talk to her a little bit during the time when I took my break.

Yeah.. it's not wasted today~! I spent it well I would think. Tomorrow, I still don't know what to do yet.  Hehe.

Anyways, I've stocked up food, so incase my housemates have this crazy idea of not having dinner in the future, I'd be prepared~ =D

Eventful day!

This weekend is a really good one.. Especially today. I must say it's a very "successful" and eventful day.

This morning, woke up kinda late, and went out with my house mates and Teng who came to visit us. We went to Bukit Mertajam for lunch.. and we had a very deliciously cheap lunch~ Total of 4 dishes, and a desert and drinks, we paid RM38 for 5 people! Cheap rite? Hehe..

Teng ordering food..
Us munching away..

~Delicious~

Then we went to a nearby shop to have some Rojak. After the rojak, I really felt that it was a little hard to move around.. hehe.. Anyways, we walked around Bukit Mertajam (BM) area, and Teng showed us around because BM is where he grew up.

After walkind around the town, we went to St. Anne's Church. Well, it's my first time in a Catholic church and I must say, it's very very very different. At the back of the church there was this hill that went up and up with "stations" of crosses along the way and at the "top" of the hill, a huge statue of the cross and a place to light candles. I did climb all the way up just to take a look and here are the pictures.

The "smaller" Hall
Up up we go... Can reach heaven ker? Hehe..
At the "top"

Looking down from "up" there.
The people I went with... and another praying spot
Forgive my squinty eyes..The sun was really bright... :p

The place was really impressive. The buildings are ancient but they are so well maintained!

After walking around the huge compound of the church, we were so tired and we got into the hot hot hot hot, i tell you HOT car and rode back to Penang for some "Ais Kacang" and reached back around 4 pm. =.= Kaput ady...

When reached back, I told myself I wanted to sleep, but after lying down 10 minutes, I decided to clean my room, make it neat and tidy.. and I do intend to keep it that way from now on. =D
The cleaning process.. Looks like I'm moving out rite?

Well, I spent the night washing clothes, and putting my room back in order, making everything much much much neater! Hehe... Gotta go sleep now.. Have to do my shopping list for tomorrow and then sleep. Really thank God for the strength He gave me to do all these things today!
