Johor, sweet....

So hor.. I just continue somewhere lah... 

So.. that night we went to John's church, and after service, John's dad brought us to go eat lah, at first, the plan is to go eat wild boar and "biawak" lah.. but then tak jadi, so we went to another place lah...

Den after dinner, we went back to ZZzz lah.. Initial plan was to go play DOTA at JB's biggest cyber cafe, but we didn't go lah.. Both of us felt too tired to do anything much, so we went back to sleep.

The next day, we went to watch Quarantine at City Square. This place is so south, and so near to Singapore that the streets have a little feel of Singapore, and there are many many many Singaporeans in this part of Johor. At City Square, I tried this :

To the SOUTH !!

On the 26th Dec, we packed everything nicely into John's Wira, and we started the drive to Bukit Jalil, KL. Before reaching Bukit Jalil, we stopped for a little bit of "early breakfast" or "late supper" (whatever is ur preference lah) at MURNI (some sort of "high class" mamak; they practically have every kind of food you can think of, from clay pot lou shi fan, Roti Hawaii, Spaghetti Cabonara)

Then, after putting my things into Abby's place, we drove to Banting. When we reached there, it was about 7 am I think so we all went to sleep till about 2 pm lah... Then we went to a keropok heaven.. I think u can read about this in John's blog lah... And Xiao Qi, being so nice, "chia" all of us to a wonderful mountain of keropok. So, during lunch, we were trying to convince sweet Melissa to come with us to JB, and even called her mum to ask if she could come, but then leh, we failed lah... again, it's in John's blog. SO...

John and I sent Melissa to Subang, and then we went to Jamie's place, parked the car, put things in Jamie's room, and took the train to Pudu Raya. Had some super expensive Nga Pou Kai Fan, BUT it was nice lah! :P

SO hor we took the SS INTERNATIONAL bus to JB after that loh...  The bus ride hor, like super long lah.. but talked to John a lot in the bus, and got to know a side of him I never knew. A very good side lah ah. not bad lah.. He's a very good person, loves Jesus... AND so coming back to the story... we reached John's home around.... (kenot rem time) so anyways, met John's mum, and she's a really super cool mum lah! That's all I can describe her. LoL!

Then we slept lah.... till very late the next day... that would be 28th Dec de... ok lah.. that's all i gonna tell for now.. Pictures and more stories in next post! so stay tuned!

Getaway

I had a chance to be away from everything for a short few days during my trip back home. 7 of us, took a weekend off at the Bako National Park, and we sure did have a blast of a time. Weird, we never took a group photo together outside the boat, but anyways, I just want to share some photos and some of the wonderful time and things I had the chance to experience during the few days there.

All thanks to Shell for planning out the trip, getting all of us to go and making it happen! I want to say thanks to everyone else who went that made this trip as fun as it is, made it so special and something I would treasure in my heart. Thank you all! I'll be missing you guys. Festivities

The week just happened so quickly, so fast, so - fast. I'm back in KLIA again. Going back to UTP tonight. It's difficult to even imagine myself going back to my books *I haven't bought any!*

The feeling was different this year, the excitement and "buzz" of the Chinese New Year wasn't as much as it used to be. It's more of a time where we all make an extra effort to be home and be with our families and meet up with friends who most of them we have not seen for quite some time.

New year's eve seem a little quiet with sis not being home. Never realized how much a difference she makes when she's around. This year, it seems a little extra quiet. Che, next year must be home for CNY ok?

Last night, Che Chung, Pei Sing, Chris, Dennis, Yong Shen, Joshua, Cheryl and myself went to watch CJ7. The movie was really funny, very much like most of the other Stephen Chow movies, but this movie really had some good messages behind it, that even without material riches, our hearts and lives can be rich when we are honest, kind and loving.

My first FYP title proposal got rejected. This Monday, I'm going to see my lecturer to see what other options I have got. She said not to worry, I won't worry - cause I know my God is still in control. I have to trust God to bring me through my final year in university.

Life seem to have taken a huge turn, like something has changed so tremendously. I suddenly realize that there are so many things I have to be responsible for in the near future. Sometimes thinking of them, I feel so small and incapable. One thing I have is my hope in Christ Jesus.

Travelling

I travelled much, to places anew and to places that I have known so well. The journey home was one I have been looking forward to the whole week. The very thought of just being home was more exciting than the thought of being home for CNY.

I left my university at around 10 am in a taxi. The taxi driver was a friendly old man who drove me down to the bus station and along the way he kept talking to me in Mandrin. I conversed the best I could in broken Mandrin and used Chinese dialects whenever I was lost for words. It sometimes is a little embarrassing being a Chinese and not knowing my own race's language and there are foreigners who can converse in Mandrin better than me! *sweat*

At around 11 am, I reached the Medan Gopeng Bus Station. The express bus to KLIA left the station at around 11.30 and the whole ride was uneventful. That's why I hate travelling alone. The journey is always uneventful and QUIET. Well, it was a good time for me to nap, and so anyway I got to the airport safe, sound and BLUR. I felt like a zombie carrying my bags to the check-in counter. It has been quite a long time since I took a MAS flight so when I got to the departure level, I walked straight to the first MAS check-in counter I saw and said in a confident tone - Flight MH 2534, I know my flight is many hours from now, but can I check-in now? The attendant at the counter didn't even look at me and asked "Where is your flight to again?" I was thinking like "huh? now all the same one meh?" - "Kuching" was all I said. She smiled at me the sweetest smile could smile and directed me to the domestic flight check-in counters because I was at the international flights check-on counters. *malunye*

Once I got my luggage checked-in, my next mission was getting to Klang to meet up with Sher, then get back to KLIA before 9.45 for my flight! I took the KLIA Express train that goes down to KL Sentral in 28 minutes. The thing about this train is that it is expensive but it is ON TIME and very accurate. I timed the ride down, and it was exactly 28 minutes just as they say it is, unlike the KTM trains that travel at an unbelievably slow speeds. The KTM train ride from KL Sentral to Klang took about 1 hour! *Uggh!* By the time I reached Klang it was already nearly 6 pm! I didn't want to miss my flight and I knew that the only way I can make it in time back to KLIA is if I leave Klang by 7.30! Man.. I travelled so far but I can only meet Sher for like 1 pathetic hour~! Anyways the four of us - Mun Khea, Mun Wah, Sher Ri and myself - had "dinner" at a place called "Fruity". Haha. The name of the place gave me the impression that the  place serves drinks and foods that have some funny fruit flavour in it. When we walked into the place, the smell reminded me of Starbucks. The wonderful and delicious aroma of coffee! The menu is something so different, they serve a wide range of food from pasta to chicken grills and cheese cakes! They recommended me the Grilled chicken, Traditional Tomato and cheese Spaghetti, and a very different Thai Spaghetti. I tried the spaghetti and I have to agree with them that the spaghetti is really very nice at only RM 10++

The trip back to KLIA from Klang was one where I find myself thinking so much about something that I don't pay much attention to whatever that is happening around me. I guess partly also it was because I was already really very drained physically and all I could want to do was to get home quickly. When I was about to boarding the plane, I suddenly remembered, I forgot to take a picture with Sher! Man.. travelled so far to see her then didn't even remember to take a picture. Walao eh... The flight back wasn't very pleasant at all. I couldn't sleep and there were times when I felt like I was going to throw up! I sat beside a man in his early 50's and he has to put his hands on the arm rest so much to my side that I could hardly sit comfortably! MAS flights are better??? I think sometimes only lah.. the coolest part is that you get to have unlimited flow of orange juice throughout the flight while in the Air Asia flight, you would have to pay like RM6 for a carton of juice!

I couldn't be any happier when I heard the pilot announcing that we were about to land and that we have to be buckled up in our seats. The flight felt like it was a 3 hour flight but it was actually just 1 hour 45 minutes. When I cleared from the immigration, I told myself "Yes! I'm home!!!" - So nice to be back home... Reaching home about 1 am in the morning, I showered, and went to bed. I hope the week would be spent well, and that this year's celebration will be filled with much joys!

I'm coming home!

I love traveling, especially traveling home.

I just reached KLIA about 10 minutes ago. Man, this is so cool. Alas! Home. HOME! Really looking forward to my own bed, and I really hope that I can use the car when I get home lah. Hehe.

Home

I looked forward to this day full of anticipation. I felt so excited, I found myself dancing in my shoes while I boarded the plane. As I sat in the seat and dozed off, all I thought of was getting home. The flight was a little rough, all I could do to make myself feel better was to close my eyes, and try to get into deeper sleep.

As I waited for my turn at the immigration counter, I felt joy, looking at the all familiar Kuching "Pue Ki Teo"

When I reached home, I just couldn't decide what emotion or feeling I was having; joy, satisfaction, fatigue,  sleepiness, it all got shaken together. As I got into bed for a short nap, I couldn't help myself but tell myself, "Yes, I'm home!"

 

It might be a short 6 days, but I'll make the best of it.

Long Weekend

AH... alas! It's Friday, and this weekend is going to be a long one. =)

Well, this week has been a good, busy and fulfilling week I should count. There has been much progress at work with the program that I am working on. On Monday, as I was trying out again like how I always did, this time, it worked!

Had pretty good food also this week, too bad I'm not on holidays, so I didn't take my camera with me ler. Today, I went for Kenny Rogers and tried the new roasted chicken with "spicy" sauce. It turned out to be very good, met my expectations. The best part is that, after we stepped out of the place, my friend told me that they just charged us for 1 plate of the dish! SO all in all, we paid RM30 only! Haha..

Looking forward to Sunday! After church, 5 of us; Darren, Eilyn, Fellicia, Su Ee and myself, we'll be heading to SP to meet uncle Kevin! Really looking forward to see all of them. Hope that the traveling will not be too tiring though.

Jubilee year celebration for Malaysia.

I must say I'm proud to be a Malaysian. I'm sure there are some of you out there who think otherwise, and that Malaysia is not good enough, but I feel, Malaysia is indeed a blessed land.

What more can I say? This is where I'm born, I believe that this land is a land of destiny if we are to answer our calls. Amen?

Well, what I did for tonight was:

1. Ate Mc D for dinner
2. DOTA at home
3. Blog (doing now)
4. Pack up ( for tmr la)

Today ho, Spoke to the girl sitting beside me after what felt like a long time we had this silence between us. Don't know why, but the past few days, ... maybe weeks, we didn't talk. Then today, I just plucked up my courage and offered her some "Wrigley's Eclipse mints" hehe.. So got talk a bit lor.. Feel so weird like sit beside each other but never talk. Lolxx.. The boys school syndrome.. hahaha...

Well, don't know what to do now, maybe I should do more dotaing.. hehe.. Or sleep.. lalala...

Ok ler... better start packing, and sleeping soon.. Leaving early tmr...

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!

This is a wonderful SUNDAY!!

A powerful hurricane hit Kuching City Today! :P

I was on my way down from Bethany and then i heard the howling of a mighty wind, and lo and behold, a great down pour of rain and winds that could throw off a tractor *exaggerate a little la ha... =) but it's really strong winds la :p * suddenly hit Kuching! Well, today i had the chance to do what Che Chung has been doing for more than a year - Send people home after Sunday service! So i sent Daphne back home, and on the way, we saw a tree (pictured above la ) with a broken branch and I had to drive up the curb to go through! It was really cool... cause you can't do that during normal days la... drive on the curb.. hahaha... Then after i sent Daphne back, the rest of us in the car went to Curry House! It was a good thing that when we reached the eating place, the rain had stopped, and we could eat *peacefully* without the raging winds blowing into our faces and rain falling on our food.

Then, after lunch, we went to Pastor Cheli's house. By the time I reached there, I was so tired, and thought of just going home, but then Simon had to update the Bethany website ( Yeap! it's updated! Check it out guys!!) so I lent him some of my expertise in website building and stuff... No lar, all I did was gave opinions.. lolz... Then aunty Mei made a great cup of tea at around 4 pm, and that cup of tea gave me strength! haha..

At around 5 pm , Simon finally turned off his PC cause he was done and we then went home. When i reached home, I was so tired, I took a quick shower, and then went to bed! After about an hour of sleep, I got up, and then bathe, then had dinner. After dinner, went to pick Caleb up from Michael's house and then went to pick up Su Ee, then headed over to church. *Jamming Session* - Had a wonderful time just jamming with Caleb and Su Ee. It has been such a long time since i played with them and today, I had the chance. We had fun just praising God and just trying out different songs with them. It took me a while to get into the style of music that they were playing cause its so different! The funniest part was when we played the song Worship You Alone from Planet Shakers, Caleb and Su Ee took turns to play the drums, because Caleb played a little bit of the keyboard for the intro, and it was just so funny, the three of us, making music that sounded like music played by a full band! It was really great fun, thanks a lot guys! Really appreciate it.

I'll be off to KL at 9 pm tonight.. Feel sad to leave Kuching, but I have faith to believe that this year, this semester, is going to be a different one, because HE IS GOD!
