Location: Malaysia, Sarawak, Kuching.

Time: 9:00 PM – I’m waiting for Che Chung to come pick me. The air was dense, the wait seemed long. Eventually we went and picked up 3 more agents on the way.

Time: 9:45 – We were at location, waiting in position. The place was crowded. Each one in the place had a certain look on their faces. All with different emotions, but seem to be screaming out the same thing.

“I WANT MY MC D!!!”

We did have our burgers, fries and Coke in the end….

AND, mcFlurry lah..

 

That was 2 days ago…

 

Just roughly about an hour ago… I was in Shell’s car.. and when I looked down between my legs.. I saw…

 

 

  Yup! More McD for just RM18.75! WooooOoooOOooHooo! I kinda love McD more this week lah… Been so nice to let me have super fatty burgers for LESS. Oh.. ya.. the promo ends when February ends, so if it’s still February 2009, turn off your laptop and run over to your nearest McD now!

Banana Leaf Rice

I was just at this banana leaf rice place in Bangsar. I can't remember the name of the shop, but this is the first time in YEARS I see everyone in a banana leaf rice shop eating with fork and spoon. It's KL lah I guess. :p and yes.. the food is not as nice as when eaten with ye fingers! Hahaha! So.. I've been "Indianized" thanks to John, Vinod, Michelle, and Kana... Hmmmm....

Super Delicious Nasi Lemak!!

Later that evening, John brought me to one of the best nasi lemak you can think of tasting lah... It's called restoran mana lagi.. This restaurant sells ONLY nasi lemak! The first time I've ever been to such a place... At first, I thought that it would just be some over rated nasi lemak.. coz.. how good can nasi lemak be? I stand corrected... I dun think the pictures here can describe the taste, so it's best if you just hop on Air Asia, get to Johor, and ask the taxi driver to bring you to "Restoran Mana Lagi".

So.. that night we went to John's church, and after service, John's dad brought us to go eat lah, at first, the plan is to go eat wild boar and "biawak" lah.. but then tak jadi, so we went to another place lah...

Den after dinner, we went back to ZZzz lah.. Initial plan was to go play DOTA at JB's biggest cyber cafe, but we didn't go lah.. Both of us felt too tired to do anything much, so we went back to sleep.

The next day, we went to watch Quarantine at City Square. This place is so south, and so near to Singapore that the streets have a little feel of Singapore, and there are many many many Singaporeans in this part of Johor. At City Square, I tried this :

"Snow Ice"- Yummulicious ice-cold milk.

Eating Habbits

I've been having supper quite a bit lately, and this morning, when i got up earlier than usual for breakfast, I felt a little guilty and FAT. For some weird reason lah. but i got up anyways, and went. =)

Today, I went with Vinod, Kana and Melissa to the Tronoh market to have brekkie, and I had some really delicious "pan mee". Sort of flat shaped (i think hand made) noodles. I think i felt guilty coz i ate before I slept, and I got up to go eat, then after that coz still not enough sleep, I slept again till lunch time. So to get my system back in order, I'm gonna skip lunch. =D

It's girls night out and I sort of invited myself to it. Anyway, it was great fun, and actually, girls night out ain't as bad as I used to think. Well, at least this bunch didn't make us feel awkward. We enjoyed it pretty much.

Well, we're glad that we didn't spoil the girl's outing.. Hehe... Looking forward to the movies this coming week. Before that... revision.. : (

Pause

Just a little bit of time for me to catch my breath, and get things in order again. Taking a few days off the hectic schedule of studies, lectures, assignments, projects, tutorials, tests, games, prayer meets... It really drains, but without which, I guess life would be pretty mundane, empty.

Yesterday, 5 of us went out celebrating. The mid term break has just started, at around 6 in the evening, we headed out of UTP. I was feeling a little drained from all the activity in the morning, and the lack of the sleep made it worse. Nevertheless, I was determined to have some time of fun, and just enjoying myself.

2 + 1 was the destination. After stuffing out stomachs with extra pork, chicken, mutton, and tom yam soup, we headed to Ipoh Parade for 10 000 B.C..

After purchasing 5 tickets, we headed for bowling. Hehehe.. Well, I felt a little proud of myself that night, as I scored a few strikes! After the 2 games, as we were walking out, I realized that my legs hurt from all the bending.. Must be the wrong posture.

The movie was very entertaining, I would say it's a 4 star movie. Something definitely worth going to the cinema for. 

The holidays are here! God is indeed awesome!

I will miss you for the way you make me feel.

I will miss the fun places like QBM, Perangin, Gurney, Auto City...

I will miss looking at you who is so familiar yet always seem so new.

I will miss you for the way even the simplest food that you cook up seem so special.

This is my last week here in Penang. Now I wish that it will not end so soon. Going back to UTP, I will miss all the wonderful delicious food in Penang!!! Arrrgh!! It's just two hours away.. but.. it's still FAR... Penang hawkers... they are the best weh... I don't even miss food from my hometown... *sob*

It's the end of my internship! No more going to work from 8 am to 5 pm... No more writing programs, no more meeting with people just to have a 30 minute discussion about one issue, no more sneaking out of the office early, no more going out for lunch in all the wonderful eating places in Penang and even getting bored with the wonderful food.... Aaaaa.. I will miss the food here the most!

Going back to studying, is not going to be easy. I just hope that things will really get better in UTP. I hope that it will not be the same as the precious semesters... A better final year in UTP!

Just another day?

Yesterday night, Eilyn was saying that 2008 is just another year, just another day... and we'd be back to work the day after new year's day... Yah.. I guess it's true, but I also feel that it is important to see the new year as a mile stone, something to look forward to, something new!

Well, I'm about to leave Penang, and of course, I can't resist it when Felix invited me to join them at Tao 2 nights ago. I ate, and I ate, and I ate a lot of fishes! The flu didn't stop me from eating my fill of good fish! Hehehe..

Last night.. we went to Pizza Hut to celebrate the new year. Somehow, we managed to get everyone in the picture! haha...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Satisfied

Today, after work, we went home, rested a while, and I eventually slept till around 7 pm. When I got up, Joel was already getting ready to go out for dinner... Tonight is Bak Kut Teh night. Yep, Bak Kut Teh in Penang, not Klang this time. Was really hungry by the time we got there, I think it must be nearly 8 pm we got seated, all 6 of us, except 1 didn't have the Bak Kut Teh cause he finds it "difficult to eat". For my housemates who might have come across this webpage, you will know who lah. =D The place is a corner house, opposite Tesco Extra on Penang Island. I'm sure it's pretty easy to find, somewhere near Pekaka area I guess...

Anyways.. the meal was really really good. I guess partly because I was really hungry when we started eating. Well, I'd say it's not as super good as the one in Klang but by far, this is really nice Bak Kut Teh. The soup was not too salty, the taste was full, and it just tasted so right.

Just add RM 2 for extra cheese, and this is what you get. SUPERB pizza. YUM~

After the late dinner, we went for HITMAN at GSC Gurney.

Last Wednesday night, 6 of us, rushed back form the office, shower, dressed up, and went to Auto City, Penang.

The place serves Asian cuisine like Japanese, Chinese, etc.. all in a huge mix... (Mostly Japanese style) We chose to have a buffet meal, and it costs RM 50 per head. At first I felt it was a little expensive, then remembered that in KL, it would cost just as much for 1 meal in fancy restaurant, so since this is a buffet, I guess it's "cheaper".

Well, I forgot to bring my all wonderful camera... So all the photos were taken with SonyEricsson wonder gadgets.

We reached the place around 6 pm, and after being seated, Wei Zhu started ordering. Baked salmon... cold cuts.. bla bla bla.. I can't even remember the names of all the dishes that he ordered. But anyways, about 15 / 20 minutes later, the food started coming...

The food was so good... well... we were all too busy to pick up the cameras to snap ler.. hehe...

I would recommend this place to anyone who has a liking for Asian food and want a nice environment to enjoy the meal! The food is worth the price, and the experience, and the joys, are priceless.
